In a surprisingly well kept secret Wipro and Tata Consultancy Services — made independent efforts to acquire the European business of software major BearingPoint – but Perot Systems has beaten them to emerge as a front-runner. Though both Wipro & TCS deny it, people say both took the race to the second stage of the acquisition process and had also accessed BearingPoint’s data room before opting out of the race due to valuation issues.
