Doubletakes and confused looks are becoming the norm at the intersection of Southwest 12th Avenue and Yamhill Street.
On the southeast corner, the smell of curry wafts from the Original India Chaat House, a food cart that sells cheap, fast, hot plastic containers of spinach saag, aloo channa, vegetable masala and other northern Indian specialties. Not 20 feet away, a similar savory odor rises from the Bombay Chaat House, a neighboring stand that sells the exact same things.
Two carts on one corner, offering the same basic menu for almost identical prices. Even in this cart-crazy town, it’s weird.:: via oregonlive.com
